This project began as a series of experiments involving the glitching of images in order to create a new range of visuals.
One method I used to glitch the images was undertaken by adding large chunks of plaintext information into the images using a hex editor. At this point I began to realise that I was essentially taking written information and hiding it within an image file. This notion was explored a little further with DNA{gen}.
The rest of the Secret Safe concept developed into one which would revolve around the encryption and cracking of secrets. Visitors to the website would be encouraged to add their secret to the database, but would be relenquished of control over how it was encrpted for storage.
Visitors would then have the ability to browse previously added secrets and be given access to various information which could be applied to cracking the secret.
