Vague Memories - Flash, Actionscript, Photoshop

Vague Memories, is an ellaboration on my views of 'Familiar Strangers' - the strangers that we see on a regular basis.

Once again, my times speent waiting on train station platforms proved to be an inspiration for this piece. Having made a daily commute from a number of different stations over the years, I have seen plenty of people that have become familiar strangers.

With Vague Memories I aimed to show that our minds could become distorted when trying to remember who was where on the platform on a particular day. As the piece plays through, the people on the opposite platform move position suggesting that they may not always stand in the same spot. They also have an fluctuating opacity level which creates the impression that they may not have been there at the time.

Over time a number of compositions are created, exploring the possiblities of what it was like on that particular day.
